Protecting fruit trees from the heat

PICCC researcher Dr Rebecca Darbyshire spoke to ABC Radio's Bush Telegraph about research on extreme weather in Victorian orchards. Dr Darbyshire and others from the Department of Environment and Primary Industries and the University of Melbourne are using tiny thermometers to determine at what point extreme weather becomes a problem in apples, so they can work on adaptation measures.
