Soil carbon research investigates improved low cost methods for estimating and analysis of soil carbon, including the measurement of soil carbon change in response to long term management, and the validation of modelling approaches to understand the impact of management on soil carbon. The aim of the research is to develop robust advice to farmers on how to sustainably build soil carbon, while building productive, healthy agricultural soils for the future.
